Their chocolate is sold at several businesses on the island, including at all Massy Supermarket branches and Export St Lucia's newly opened shop “Best of St Lucia” where visitors purchase the chocolate and take it away with them. The cocoa used in the chocolate is sourced from farmers in the community.Ĭhocolate produced by the Micoud Cholocate Company and some of the products produced by the Micoud Cluster Women can feel proud coming from Micoud.” Augustin-Martyr explained its name saying, “For us, it was like giving some form of empowerment to the community of Micoud, something that persons can be proud of. The Micoud chocolate brand offers various dark chocolates that do not contain preservatives. We have persons interested in exporting our products,” Augustin-Martyr said, noting that their products have reached as far and wide as the island-state of Malta. The chocolate factory consists of six members with assigned roles and duties.
